I am CC The Great (Chakina Watkins)—an award-winning celebrity master hairstylist, international speaker, bestselling author, entrepreneur, educator, and proud elected Crowley ISD School Board Trustee. I am recognized for inspiring men, women, and youth around the world to unlock their potential, lead with purpose, and build lives of impact.
Beginning my entrepreneurial journey at just 11 years old, I transformed a passion for hairstyling into a platform for changing lives. Today, I am the visionary founder of Next Level Cosmetology & Barber Camp for Kids—the world’s first camp of its kind—where young people gain hands-on technical skills while learning entrepreneurship, financial literacy, leadership, confidence, and career readiness.
For more than two decades, I have empowered thousands of youth, entrepreneurs, educators, and community leaders through transformational speaking, innovative educational programs, and purpose-driven leadership. My mission extends far beyond beauty. I believe every child deserves access to opportunity, every entrepreneur deserves encouragement, and every individual has the ability to rewrite their story. Through my speaking, mentorship, and educational programs, I equip people with the mindset and practical tools to become the best version of themselves.
A trailblazer in education, I made history as the first Professor of Cosmetology at Tarrant County College. I am also a licensed faith-based counselor and the author of two international bestselling books, including Girl, Hold Your Own Damn Purse! and The Guide to Healing Yourself.
I have been featured on Good Morning Texas, Texas Today, Voyage Magazine, Southern Bride Magazine, and on numerous stages, podcasts, and leadership conferences across the country. Whether speaking to thousands, mentoring young entrepreneurs, or serving my community as an elected school board trustee, I remain committed to one purpose: Helping people discover who they are, believe in what’s possible, and build a legacy that outlives them. Because to me, success isn’t simply about building businesses—it’s about building people.

Many kids and teens dream of a future in beauty and business but lack the guidance, resources, and real-world education to get started. Traditional schools don’t teach financial literacy, entrepreneurship, or self-empowerment—leaving many young people without the skills they need to succeed.
That’s where I come in. Our after-school and summer cosmetology programs bridge the gap, providing hands-on training in beauty, barbering, business, and personal development. We are an award winning company - the first of its kind. We help children of all levels become the best version of themselves.
